  The Belly Dance Guild is thrilled to be hosting
  our first North Bay Hafla and you are invited!

  Address will be sent once you have registered

  We’ll be gathering in the spacious backyard of Guild member and longtime dancer Gayle Wayne for a relaxed afternoon of shimmying under the sky. Our fantastic friends The Flairs will be providing live music, or you can perform to recorded music, ... or if you just want to watch and enjoy the company, that’s welcome too!

  This is a casual, joyful hafla for Guild members and future members alike.

  Bring your works-in-progress, polished performances, eager students, fearless improv spirit, and maybe a dramatic veil toss or two. The stage is friendly and the audience is cheering for you!

  • Soloists - max. 6 minutes
  • Groups - max. 9 minutes

  Music Choice:

  • Live Music - please review the Flairs current playlist  and let us know on the registration page which song(s) you request
  • Pre-recorded Music - send your mp3 file to us by April 12

  As with all good haflas, bringing snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic or beer/wine) to share is highly encouraged - because dancing is better when there are treats nearby.

  Have costumes, hip scarves, or sparkly treasures that deserve a second life? We’ll also host a swap-meet style suq, where you can pass along beloved but underused dance gear to fellow dancers who will adore it. There will be a $20 seller fee, which will go straight to the band for a little gas money and musical gratitude.
